How Computers Write History
Computers have made history in the 20th and 21st centuries. In the study of this development, perhaps also in the study of general histories since the late 20th century, historiography is therefore confronted with multiple challenges: with computers, the conditions of writing, reading, publishing, evaluating, organizing, archiving have changed.
The deliberately ambiguous title "How Computers Write History" describes current activities to discuss this challenge in the sense of a problem-oriented historiography of technology.
