Dr. Daniela Zetti
Curriculum Vitae
Daniela Zetti graduated from the University of Zurich in general history. In her master thesis "Personnel and Computers" she examined the introduction of computers for the postal check service of the Swiss postal, telephone and telegraph companies. She completed her dissertation on production processes and programs of German public television in 2013 at ETH Zurich (sample and review).
Her current research focuses on the cultural and social history of digital and media technology. Her studies are based on qualitative methods (source criticism, discourse analysis and interviews). Since April 2020, she has been a postdoc researcher at the IMWGF and at the Ethical Innovation Hub at the University of Lübeck together with Christian Herzog (Institute for Medical Electrical Engineering).
Daniela Zetti was interim professor for the history of technology at TU Munich (2021-2022). She was a research assistant at the Chair of History of Technology at ETH Zurich, Prof. David Gugerli, and at the Collegium Helveticum and project leader in the SNF research project "Digital Federalism". In the 2015/16 fall semester, 2018 summer semester, and 2019 summer semester, she was a fellow of the DFG research group "Media Cultures of Computer Simulation" (MECS) at Leuphana University Lüneburg. She was a guest lecturer at the Institute for Theater, Film and Media Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
Daniela Zetti is a member of the electoral committee of the Society for the History of Technology, of HaPoC Council (Commission for the History and Philosophy of Computing) and of the Ethics Group of the Open Search Foundation.
