Holdings and Collections

The research areas of the library of the Institute for History of Medicine and Science Studies have developed in line with the change in the management of the institute, the scientists and the associated changes in teaching and research in recent years. In addition to a large bibliographic and biographical department, national and international journals, the library contains source texts from the various scientific and medical disciplines and research literature from ethics, the history of the natural sciences, medicine and technology, science and technological studies, as well as central works of philosophy, theology, fiction, psychology and sociology of the past and present.

Institute library currently comprises over 80,000 volumes and about 80 ongoing journals and is listed in its entirety in the electronic catalogue of the Central University Library under the abbreviation 'IMGWF B?' (as a signature without spaces) can be searched online.
