Since the acquisition of the collection of the Medical Association of Lübeck in 1993, a collection of medical holdings of the city library, which comprises almost 3,000 works, has also been housed in the institute.

The holdings are listed in the electronic catalogue of the Central University Library under the abbreviation 'IMGWF NM'.
